HD means "High Definition" and has an image resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (corresponds to "Full HD" and 2.1 megapixels). UHD is four times the resolution of Full HD and corresponds to an image with 8,294,400 pixels (3840 x 2160). Colloquially, the term 4K (which is actually used for digital cinemas "DCI") is used for various "Ultra High Definition" products. Technically, however, 4K and UHD are not exactly the same. The following information represents the different 4K resolutions: "native 4K" (4096 x 2160 = 8,847,360 pixels), "widescreen standard 4K" (3996 x 2160 = 8,631,360 pixels) and "anamorphic standard 4K" (4096 x 1716 = 7,028,736 pixels).
HbbTV stands for "Hybrid Broadcasting Broadband TV" and means that it is possible to offer various new types of services and information on the television via the "Red Button" (such as: video on demand, weather, recipes, news, shopping opportunities, advertising , real-time voting, interaction with social networks and popular websites). A suitable device and an Internet connection (WLAN/LAN) are required for this function.
