Submission broadband

LPA - On 27th february the submission about the allocation of broadband circuit points in 14 communes of Sout Tyrol has been published. The member of the provincial government of information technology Hans Berger invites the telecommunication companies to take part in the allocation to push the distribution of broadband technology as quickly as possible.

"It is necessary to establish broadband circuit points nationwide. So also territories with a low technical infrastructure can be integrated in the economical, social and cultural development of the country", so the member of the provincial government Hans Berger, which is appropriate for information technology. The broadcasting company South Tyrol (RAS) has been asigned by the country to fulfil the acquisition of broadband technology in the wohle country to economical adequate terms. The first submission which was published today includes the allocation of broadband circuit points in 14 communes, cut into 13 parts: the communes Kastelruth, Ahrntal, Prettau, Ritten, Abtei, Mals, Deutschnhofen, Ratschings, Tirol, enneberg, Völs am Schlern, Tramin, Rasen-Antholz und Gais will be provided with broadband circuit points. Further submissions for a complete coverage of South Tyrol are following.

The intention of the country is it, that until 2009 all companies with more than three employees, 95 percent of the companies with three or less employees as well as 90 percent of the population should dispose of a broadband circuit point (at least ADSL). "The telecommunication providers are invited to participate at the submission for being able to offer the country wide aquisition of broadband technology in South Tyrol as soon as possible", so the member of the government Berger.
